# How to pay the Finanças by MB WAY

On the Portal das Finanças list of payments due, press PAGAR on the bill's line. A box called «Efetuar Pagamento» opens with the reference, the amount and the deadline. Type your mobile number, accept the MB WAY terms, press Pagar and approve the request in the MB WAY app.

## Step by step

1. Sign in and open the list of payments due, at `sitfiscal.portaldasfinancas.gov.pt/inffin/pagamentosDecorrer.html`.
2. On the line of the bill you want to pay, press PAGAR. The page does not change: a box opens on top of it.
3. Check the Ref. de Pagamento (reference), the Valor a Pagar (amount) and the Data Limite de Pagamento (deadline).
4. Type your mobile number and tick «Aceito a utilização de dados para pagamento MB WAY».
5. Press Pagar and approve the request in the MB WAY app. Nothing is paid before that.

## No MB WAY: pay with the reference

The same box shows the payment reference. You can pay it at a Multibanco ATM or in your online banking, under Pagamentos ao Estado (payments to the State), by the deadline.

## Only want to pay part of it?

Some bills accept a partial payment, and many can go on a plan. See [paying in parts](https://tudocerto.app/en/guides/pay-in-parts) and [payment plans](https://tudocerto.app/en/guides/payment-plan).

## With tudo certo.

[tudo certo.](https://tudocerto.app/en/) takes the Portal tab to the right bill's payment box and shows you the reference, the amount and the deadline. The phone number, the terms and the click on Pagar are always yours.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I pay a fine (coima) by MB WAY?

Yes, if the fine's line has a PAGAR button. Fines are always paid in one go.

### Is it paid as soon as I press Pagar?

No. Pressing Pagar sends an MB WAY request to your phone; the payment only happens when you approve it in the app.
